71-WMHD: Heavyduty 4' Workman
Folding to less than 5” deep, the Eaglerock Workman has a 600lb / 278 kg load capacity, meets or exceeds OSHA and ANSI standards and sets up in less than 10 seconds. Fitting easily through framed doors, between desks or working areas and around corners, the Workman mini-scaffold is very useful for inside construction, repair and maintenance work. The heavy duty platforms may be set in the configuration illustrated or side by side, providing a working platform 20" wide and 48" long. There
are several unique characteristics setting the unit apart from
others of the same format. 1) The working area of the
platforms is 36% larger. 2) The platforms themselves are
mounted on the frame using angle iron flanges wrapped in high
compression rubber sleeves. 3) The unit may be accessorized
with unique extension outriggers, turning it into a stable 6'
tall mini-scaffold. |

Workman
platforms are the most secure platforms of their kind in the
industry.
There are several unique characteristics setting Workman platforms apart from others of the same format. 1) The working area of the platforms is 36% larger. Where the working dimensions of most other platforms of this format are 8.5" x 41", each Workman platform is a full 10" x 48". 2) The platforms themselves are mounted on the frame using angle iron flanges wrapped in high compression rubber sleeves. For purposes of comparison, other platforms of this sort are simply notched along their length, at each end. The crescent notches are then used to hook on the rungs of the scaffold frame. Consequently, the only contact with the frame is 4 times (4 notches), the thickness of the steel in the platform. To further exacerbate the weakness of the design, as the unit is used, the platforms scrape the paint from the frame, quickly exposing it to corrosion. Finally, when a user leans away from the unit, as users are prone to do from time to time, there is very little to keep the platform from kicking out from under foot. Not so with the Eaglerock Workman. If a user reaches out from the scaffold, the lateral pressure on the rubber mount creates a sheer friction, locking the platform to the frame. You won't find a more secure mini-scaffold anywhere. |
